My New Obsession!

I'm obsessed with these knee highs!!  I've been seeing them everywhere. I must have a pair, or two, or three! :)  One of my favorite vintage inspired clothing stores is the Shabby Apple.  They have the most feminine, timeless clothes.  They range from casual to formal with all the accessories you could ever want and need!  Take a look and tell me what you think!

My love for Vintage

My love for all things vintage started when I was really young.  I probably watched entirely too many old movies where the love stories were Epic and everything was Glamorous.  This definitely fueled my love for Vintage Engagement Rings.  These are some of my favorite rings from Erstwhile Jewelry Co.  They have the most glamorous Antique and Art Deco engagement rings.  They are all so different from the basic and generic engagement rings that are more common now.  Just looking at them takes me back to a time where love letters were written and kept for safe keeping.

Quilts I Love!

One of my all time favorite gifts to give and get are quilts.  Not only are they practical but they are Beautiful!  My great grandmothers have passed down quilts to their daughters and granddaughters and this is definitely a tradition that I want to pass down to my girls.  I love to sew and I'm always looking for inspiration.  I came across these Beautiful quilts and fabrics from a Stay at Home Mom on Etsy.  I always try to support my fellow Stay at Home Moms so I thought  I would share her wonderful quilts.  She has so many fabrics to choose from,  I just put a few pictures of some of my favorites.  Lots of people make quilts but she seems to have a great eye for fabric combinations.  She also makes custom quilt baby bedding.  Her etsy shop is  SewFunByMonique.  Take a look and enjoy!

Gardening in Style

I'm a beginner gardener....not quite to a "green thumb stage" but well on my way!  This year I've been taking care of Large Topiary trees, which I absolutely love.  I will admit I was completely intimidated with keeping them shaped correctly but it turns out it was quite easy!  We have trees, shrubs and potted planted.  We are hoping to purchase 5.6 acres very soon to start our garden and homesteading adventures.  I love the idea of having lots of fruit trees!  But as we trek through our potential property I realize that I will need high boots for the kind of work that will be required to maintain such a garden and our chickens.  Many people have suggested lots of black rubber farming boots.  Perfect for the mud and great to be able to just hose them off.  But I have to admit that even though I love our plan of living off of our own land, I hate to think that I will be losing my great sense of style. :)  So as a nice compromise of Great Style and Easy Clean Up, I found these fantastic JOULES WELLY boots.  These two are my favorites but there are a lot of different amazing styles.  Check them out!

My Etsy Find

I absolutely love to find Homeade Goods!  Something about finding things that weren't made in a factory but someone took the time to make them with their own two hands just makes me smile!  Etsy has such an abundance of really unique handmade items, so when I came across these Beautiful pin cushions I just had to share.  Her etsy shop is called Details by Des and she made me the most beautiful custom  pin cushion to match my sewing room and I couldn't be happier!  Enjoy!  Details by Des
